Contemporaneo 2014 Team is: Any Collin - Media and Communication Support; Frank Honjo - Brazilian Manager; Ricardo Chaves-Fernandes - Founder, Managing Director and Curator; Roger Fountain - Fund Raising and Communication Support; Sami Korhonen - Design Management and Communication Support

The main requirements for participation are:

- Proof of minimum 3 years of activities in Fine Art Photography;

- Presentation of a series with a defined concept;

- Presentation of a series with contemporary theme.

You will be judged on the following criteria:

- Past works;

- Concept and development of the series you are presenting;

- Artistic expression;

- Contemporary aspects of the artwork;

- Future prospects in the art world.

In order to participate in Contemporaneo 2014 you must have one of the following nationalities:

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatelama, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and/or Venezuelan

In 2008 Brazilian art critic and contemporary art dealer Ricardo Chaves-Fernandes felt the need to create a platform to present the contemporary artists of Latin America to the international market.The Contemporaneo competition was born.  

Contemporaneo features works by carefully selected artists. These artists are judged by an international jury composed of highly recognized and respected professionals in the art world.

The 10 artists chosen by the jury are then awarded with an exclusive, collective exhibition in Paris.

The 2014 edition of Contemporaneo is dedicated to contemporary photography. The project’s main objective is to reveal the avant-garde art scene of Latin America to the art world. Contemporary photography is a powerful tool that presents the world as it is; changing the way art is being conceived and associating technology and human behaviour to history.

The jury panel will consist of a variety of respected international professionals from different areas of the art world but all related to contemporary art. Their judging objective is to choose, analyse and select artists that effectively express how they see today’s world . Ten artists will be chosen to exhibit their work for 30 days in November (2014) in Paris, France.
